Tungabhadra Warriors won their maiden APL title, beating Capital Amaravathi Royals by 5 wickets in the final at the ACA-VDCA Stadium on August 23, 2025. Amaravathi Royals had the more dominant regular season — they topped the points table and became the first team to qualify directly for the final — while Tungabhadra Warriors finished second, lost Qualifier 1, then won Qualifier 2 to book their spot in the decider.

Amaravathi Royals captain Hanuma Vihari top-scored in the final with 51, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Tungabhadra Warriors chasing the game down. Tungabhadra Warriors captain Maheep Kumar entered the final needing just 36 runs to reach 700 career APL runs.

This made Tungabhadra Warriors the fourth different champion in four editions of the APL no team has yet won the title twice, and Coastal Riders remain the only franchise to have reached two finals.
