League Overview and Final Match Result

Guyana Amazon Warriors won back-to-back GSL titles, beating San Francisco Unicorns by 6 runs in a final that swung wildly on the night. Guyana collapsed to 29 for 8 after being asked to defend a total, somehow scraping together just 85 yet their bowlers turned it into the lowest total ever successfully defended in a T20 tournament final, restricting San Francisco to 79.

Dwaine Pretorius was Player of the Match for his all-round 17 not out and 3 for 24, while 47-year-old Imran Tahir captained Guyana to their second straight title. Mohammad Nabi was named Player of the Series after a tidy all-round campaign (53 runs, 10 wickets).

Guyana finished top of the league table and went straight through to the final. San Francisco Unicorns booked the other final spot by beating Desert Vipers by 8 wickets in the Qualifier on July 31, chasing 123 with more than three overs to spare. Lahore Qalandars and Perth Scorchers XI were eliminated in the league stage.
